What during and after BDS? Give your Dental Career a Super Edge

The Institutional Placement & Career Guidance Cell in association with the Interns Academic Club of AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences organized a Professional Development Program on 17th July 2024 titled ‘What during and after BDS? Give your Dental Career a Super Edge’ at Avishkar Auditorium for the students & faculty of the college.

Dr. Swapnil Sunil Bumb, a celebrity healthcare professional & Associate Professor at Mithila Minority Dental College, Darbanga, Bihar was the resource person. The Principal & Dean, Prof. (Dr) U S Krishna Nayak presided over the function and stressed the importance of exploring multiple career options in dentistry and preparing early, with correct knowledge and mentorship.

Prof. (Dr) Darshana Devadiga welcomed the gathering, Dr. Kritika introduced the resource person and Dr. Gopinath Tilak delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Shivika Duggal compered the program and Ms. Pavithra rendered the prayer.

Dr. Swapnil in the interactive session discussed the plethora of career prospects pertaining to dentistry, not just in the field of clinical practice & academics but also in research institutes, hospital management, public health, pharmaceutical companies, government sectors, army as well as overseas education.

The program was attended by 92 students and 10 faculty members from ABSMIDS.
