The Student Innovation Club of AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in association with the Institution Innovation Council, Nitte DU organized a guest lecture on The Roadmap to Innovative Readiness on 21st March 2023 at Trimshathi Bhavan, ABSMIDS.

The program began with prayer and lighting of lamp to mark the auspicious occasion of the first lecture conducted by the Student Innovation Club, ABSMIDS. Prof. (Dr) Mithra N Hegde, Vice Dean, ABSMIDS delivered the presidential address. Dr. Srinikethan, President, IIC, Nitte DU welcomed the gathering and updated the audience on the latest events and activities of the Institution Innovation Council. Prof. (Dr) Mamatha Shetty, Dept. of Periodontics & Coordinator, Student Innovation Club delivered the welcome address. Dr. Upasana Reddy, Lecturer, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics introduced the resource person Prof. (Dr) VK Sasindran, Director, PG Studies, KS Hegde Medical Academy. Dr. Sasindran in his presentation, highlighted the opportunities & challenges associated with dental entrepreneurship and provided suggestions on how to go about with examples from his experiences in the field.

The lecture ended with an interactive Q&A session which was followed by national anthem.
